In 2005, the first version of the game Guitar Hero was released. In the game, using a special controller, you can play guitar. Several versions of the game appeared, but the tentatively last one dates back to 2015. Since then it has been quiet around the game, but now it seems that Guitar Hero may make a comeback.

Video game producer Activision Blizzard has now been officially acquired by Microsoft. Following the acquisition, Bobby Kotick, the CEO of Activision-Blizzard gave a speech to his employees and in it he revealed that a popular game may return.

In his speech, Kotick talked about what he thinks gaming could look like in 10 years. In doing so, he also looked back in time to old toppers of the company. "The return of Guitar Hero and other things, would not be possible without the necessary funding. And now we have endless possibilities for the future and that's just incredibly exciting."

This is not yet official confirmation that Guitar Hero will return, but it does mean that now that Activision Blizzard has more financial resources, a return is a possibility. In addition, with Microsoft's help, Activision Blizzard also wants to put more effort into research. "Using their AI and machine learning, data analytics, new ways of thinking about graphics ... I see unlimited potential."
