We are excited to announce that Charles-André Langevin, Health & Safety General Supervisor - Meliadine, Nunavut is the third recipient of our annual Larry Connell Award for Collaborative Excellence!

Selected from a group of strong nominees, Charles-André is highly praised by his colleagues for his leadership style, his approachability, and his commitment to forging strong relationships across the organization - qualities exemplified by Larry Connell, our retired Corporate Director, Regulatory Affairs.

The award in Larry's name which was instituted in 2018 recognizes an employee who is a consummate partner and respected peer and who fosters our core values of Respect, Responsibility and Trust. The award also recognizes the employee for their impact, sphere of influence, both inside and outside Agnico Eagle and for supporting the Company's success with a high degree of commitment and collaboration.

Charles-André embodies Larry's collaborative spirit and his reputation for taking on challenges with great tenacity and optimism. As a leader, Charles-André is humble, affable, and listens to and learns from his peers with genuine curiosity

'Recognition from my peers and colleagues is the most rewarding recognition I could wish for.' said Charles-André, at a virtual award ceremony in his honour that was held on March 10th where more than 80 of his colleagues, as well as his proud parents, celebrated Charles-André's achievement. 'Collaboration is the strength of the Agnico Eagle family.'

Advancing steadily throughout his career, Charles-André started as a Human Resources intern at Agnico Eagle in 2014 at our Meadowbank Complex. He was appointed to the role of Human Resources Counselor in 2015 and later transferred to our Meliadine Mine in 2017. In January 2019, Charles-André advanced to the role of Training Coordinator where he consistently demonstrated a high level of inter-disciplinary collaboration. In early 2020, Charles-André was promoted to his current position of Health and Safety General Supervisor.

In recognition of his achievement, Agnico Eagle will donate $5,000 CDN on behalf of Charles-André to the initiative of his choice, the Kamatsiaqtut Nunavut Helpline-- the first-ever crisis telephone line established in Iqaluit, Nunavut that works support community mental health.
