Shenton Energy Pty Ltd purchases Shenton Park AWT Plant

Shenton Energy Pty Ltd, a company controlled by Thailand based SBANG Sustainable Energies Limited, has purchased the business of Brockwaste WA Operations Pty Ltd and its related entities ("Brockwaste"), bringing the voluntary administration of these entities to an end. Shenton Energy is therefore the new owner of the Shenton Park AWT Plant, and the related licence for use of the AnaeCo technology at the site.

AnaeCo has been briefed by representatives of Shenton Energy and we understand their intentions to recommence operations at the plant as soon as preliminary inspections, engineering reviews and pre-start operational preparations are complete. Shenton Energy and AnaeCo are working on the terms and scope of work for AnaeCo to provide technical support and guidance to Shenton Energy during this re-start period.

AnaeCo Managing Director David Lymburn said, "We welcome the acquisition by SBANG and Shenton Energy as it provides the Shenton Park AWT Plant with the opportunity it deserves to process and divert municipal solid waste from landfill. In October 2016 when Brockwaste entered administration we said it was AnaeCo's firm opinion that the plant can be successfully operated to achieve effective waste processing and diversion from landfill, at a reasonable gate fee. We are ready to support Shenton Energy demonstrate this."
