Anthem, Inc. Names Jeffrey D. Alter Executive Vice President, Ingeniorx and Anthem Health Solutions

Anthem, Inc. has named Jeffrey D. Alter Executive Vice President, IngenioRx and Anthem Health Solutions, effective September 8, 2020. Mr. Alter will serve as a member of the company’s Senior Leadership Team and report directly to Gail K. Boudreaux, President and Chief Executive Officer, Anthem. He most recently served as President of Arcturus One Consulting, providing advisory services to Private Equity, profit and not-for-profit Boards of Directors. He was formerly the Chief Executive Officer of UnitedHealthcare’s Commercial Group, serving nearly 30 million consumers and generating over $50 billion in revenue annually. His portfolio included the management of health benefits for individuals, public sector employers, labor funds and businesses of all sizes. During his tenure at UnitedHealthcare, the organization also served nearly three million active duty and retired U.S. military personnel and their families in the TRICARE West Region. His previous roles include Vice President of Strategic Financial Planning for Oxford Health Plans, Vice President of Finance and Operations at Vytra Health Plans and in various finance and operations roles for Northrop Grumman Aerospace and the Harris Corporation. He received a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and a Masters of Business Administration in Finance from St. John’s University. He has served on numerous Boards, for both for-profit and not-for-profit companies.
