Audeara Limited has recently entered into new agreements in both Australia and the United States of America. These supply agreements represent the strategy Audeara outlined in its prospectus, which led to a successful IPO on 18 May 2021. The nature of the agreements Audeara signed with its suppliers seek mutual benefits for both parties and therefore are open ended by nature. They are subject to Audeara building trust with the supplier, providing training to their staff and becoming a valued partner. If Audeara is unsuccessful in developing this trusted relationship with their partners, they can simply cease ordering products. Audeara's agreements don't have minimum volumes, and instead seek to build premium personalised headphones that enhance the quality of life of end users, while offering clinical customers additional ways to provide value to their clients. Audeara considers these agreements to be material due to the market position held by these suppliers. For example, Amplifon, who are a leader in the International Audiology sector have selected the Audeara headphone as the Assistive Listening Device (ALD) of choice for Amplifon Australia and the only ALD held in stock. To obtain the benefit of these relationships, Audeara needs to invest in training and upskilling the staff of these customers. The time to get up to speed and the impact on sales/profitability is difficult to measure at this stage of the relationship. However, given the success Audeara has had with other suppliers, they are confident they will have an overall material effect on the business moving forward. Access to clinical sales partners is also paramount to access government funds for the end users of Audeara products. Both the Hearing Services Program (HSP) and the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) Rehabilitation Program (RAP) require assessment by a Hearing Services Program certified clinician prior to approval to supply the product. Thus by increasing the number of clinics and clinicians stocking and recommending products to their patients, company increase capacity to access government funded programs. Audeara is actively working to sign up other suppliers in Australia and the US on a similar, win-win basis.
