Avex Inc. reported consolidated earnings results for the six months ended September 30, 2018. For the six months, the company reported net sales of JPY 83,012 million against JPY 68,405 million a year ago. Operating income was JPY 3,712 million against JPY 843 million a year ago. Ordinary income was JPY 3,778 million against JPY 614 million a year ago. Net income was JPY 1,918 million or JPY 36.75 per share against net loss of JPY 251 million or JPY 14.70 loss per share a year ago. Income before income taxes was JPY 3,501 million against JPY 459 million a year ago.
The consolidated company provided earnings guidance for the year ending March 31, 2019. For the year, the company expects operating income of JPY 7,000 million and profit attributable to owners of parent of JPY 2,650 million or JPY 61.41 per share.
