BURLINGTON, Mass. (AP) _ Avid Technology Inc. (AVID) on Tuesday reported fourth-quarter net income of $7.1 million.

On a per-share basis, the Burlington, Massachusetts-based company said it had profit of 16 cents. Earnings, adjusted for restructuring costs and stock option expense, were 33 cents per share.

The audio and video technology company posted revenue of $104.3 million in the period, missing Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $105.1 million.

For the year, the company reported profit of $11.1 million, or 25 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $360.5 million.

For the current quarter ending in April, Avid expects its per-share earnings to range from 17 cents to 24 cents.

The company said it expects revenue in the range of $88 million to $94 million for the fiscal first quarter.

Avid shares have climbed 29% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $20.42, more than tripling in the last 12 months.
