Banca Transilvania has obtained, for the third consecutive year, GOLD Level Recognition in the Romania Corporate Sustainability and Transparency Index (CST Index) Sustainability Report. Following the bank's 2022 sustainability assessment, BT scored 93 out of 100 points for transparency in adopting and reporting best practices in the field, recording the second highest score among the reports assessed.

BT's Sustainability Report is produced according to the GRI standard and was developed in collaboration with the CSR Agency.

The CST Index, conducted by The Azores Sustainability & CSR Services, analysed the 2022 sustainability reports of companies in Romania with at least 500 employees. Following the analysis, 22 companies met the most criteria according to the Romania Corporate Sustainability & Transparency Index, in terms of performance and transparency in areas such as climate change, governance, diversity, responsibility towards employees, responsible marketing, etc. The CST Index uses a methodology based on 11 categories and almost 80 sustainability indicators that track the strategy, objectives and impact that companies have from an economic, environmental and social point of view.

The assessment is aligned with the most important international standards in the field of sustainability:

  • UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs);
  • Directive 2014/95/EU & EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD);
  • GRI Sustainability Reporting Standards (GRI Universal Standards 2021);
  • CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project);
  • Business for Societal Impact (formerly known as LBG).
