Bangkok Bank organized the 14th Bualuang SME Fair @ Bangkok Bank, a year-end event for 85 businesses to promote and sell consumer products, home decor, fresh food and processed food, while at the same time hosting the "Digital Transformation for SME" seminar to strengthen the business sector in the digital age as a trusted partner who stands by SME operators in every situation.

Bangkok Bank's Executive Vice President in charge of Business Banking Mr. Than Siripokee said that the 14th Bualuang SME Fair @ Bangkok Bank received good feedback from the 85 SME businesses who joined the event, an increase of 15 from last year, which featured more than 200 items at discounts of 30-50%. In addition to allowing buyers to purchase quality souvenirs and gifts at special prices for the New Year and stimulating year-end spending, the fair provided SME businesses with opportunities to promote their products and gain new customers after the fair ended.

"The annual Bualuang SME Fair is organized in front of Bangkok Bank's Head Office on Silom Road, a prominent business district which provides business opportunities for participating entrepreneurs to showcase their products and gain new customers. As a trusted partner, the Bank stands ready to support SME operators in every opportunity that can help them increase their competitiveness in addition to providing financial advice," said Mr. Than.

Mrs. Natjatee Charoenchitmun, Managing Director of J.C.P. PLASTIC LTD., distributor of products under SUPER LOCK and MICRON WARE brands, said "we joined 'Bualuang SME Fair' for the first time in 2009 as we are a member of Bualuang SME Club. Every year at the event we receive good feedback from customers, who always look forward to joining." The event is not only for customers in the Silom area but also new customers who come to event looking for special deals on quality products without having to deal with middlemen. Last year, J.C.P Plastic Ltd. was able to generate sales of up to 600,000 to700,000 baht at the event. In addition to product sales which are a direct benefit from the event, another equally important benefit is being able to promote products through word of mouth from customers which will help sales going forward.

"This is the 14th year for the Bualuang SME Fair. Each year, factory owners and manufacturers come to sell their products directly. We are of the opinion that if the duration of the event can be increased or the area for business matching can be expanded, it will help increase product sales of SMEs in the long run as the manufacturers who join in the event will be able to provide product information and prices and be able to make trading decisions immediately. We believe that this is another key mechanism that SMEs can use to drive sales in the future," said Mrs. Natjatee.

Miss Ramin Deesawattone, Managing Partner of Dokmai Thai By Samniang Limited Partnership, a producer of syrups and drinks made from 100% flowers that research by the Department of Chemistry, the Faculty of Science and Technology, Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University showed are high in antioxidants, is not widely known. "Therefore, we are interested in participating in the 'Bualuang SME Fair' for the first time this year as another marketing channel and a way to promote our products directly to a wider audience and raise awareness." At this event, there is "make, taste, show" activity led by world-class award-winning bartenders who create special drinks especially for customers. There is also a Flair Bartender show that displays bottle-swinging and tossing moves to impress customers.

A Managing Partner of Dokmai Thai By Samniang Limited Partnership added, "As an SME, I wish there were events like this more than once a year to support entrepreneurs as it is very beneficial in increasing marketing channels and providing opportunities for small entrepreneurs so that they will be able to promote their products and compete in the market. At the same time, it also helps spark ideas for those wanting to start a business and connect to new business opportunities".

The 14th Bualuang SME Fair @ Bangkok Bank is one of the Bank's important activities and has been held near the end of the year since 2009 (except during 2020-2021 due to the Covid-19 outbreak) to provide a space for SME entrepreneurs to present their quality products at special prices to consumers. The fair also featured the "Digital Transformation for SME" seminar for the first time aiming to promote knowledge and share experiences with Bualuang SME Club members and other SME operators from leading organizations, such as the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI), Digital Economy Promotion Agency (DEPA), National Innovation Agency (NIA) and Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research (TISTR) who provided knowledge about various topics and advice to help SME operators to cope with digital transformation and operating their business in a sustainable manner.

At the event, Bangkok Bank presented the Bangkok Bank SME Award for SME businesses who are prominent in "transformation-growth-sustainability". The award for digital transformation was given to Ms. Pimpatra Tunduan, the Assistant Managing Director, Practika Co., Ltd., a designer and manufacturer of customized furniture.
