Bank of China and Taiwan's E.SUN Bank signed the Business Cooperation Agreement in Beijing on July 5. In accordance with the Agreement, both parties will provide financial services for enterprises funded by China's mainland and Taiwan Region by cooperation in trade finance, inter-bank lending, syndicated loan, custody of fund assets, exchange of information and personnel, and other fields.

At the signing ceremony, Bank of China's Chairman Xiao Gang said, with the continuous development of trade and economic relations between the two sides of the Taiwan Straits, Bank of China was willing to develop business cooperation with E.SUN Bank. Mutual benefits of both parties can be achieved by exchange of experience, cooperation and learning from each other in various businesses. The conclusion of the Agreement would promote deep cooperation of the two parties in different fields, and also improve the level and quality of the trade and economic relations between the two sides of the Taiwan Straits.

Chairman of E.SUN Bank Gary Tseng said, it attached great importance to the business development in China's mainland, and regarded Bank of China as one of the most important partners in the mainland. E.SUN Bank would like to develop extensive cooperation with Bank of China in corporate financial products and services, and promote the friendly relationship of mutual benefits.

E.SUN Bank, founded in February 1992, is a medium-sized commercial bank in Taiwan Region, and has a good reputation in wealth management, credit card, small- and medium-sized enterprise business, and other fields. It has achieved the total assets of NTD 1,095.2 billion as of the end of March 2011.
