In January 2021, the central government cash balance recorded a deficit of €1,726 million, compared to a deficit of €1,161 million in the same month of 2020. During this month, ordinary budget revenue amounted to €3,046 million, compared to €3,723 million in the corresponding month of last year. Ordinary budget expenditure amounted to €4,366 million, from €4,630 million in January 2020.
