Banpu Power Public Company Limited reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2022. For the third quarter, the company reported sales was THB 4,955.81 million compared to THB 1,047.85 million a year ago. Net income was THB 2,315.18 million compared to THB 596.48 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was THB 0.76 compared to THB 0.195 a year ago.
For the nine months, sales was THB 13,193.09 million compared to THB 3,720.36 million a year ago. Net income was THB 5,918.74 million compared to THB 2,756.27 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was THB 1.942 compared to THB 0.904 a year ago.
Banpu Power Public Company Limited is a Thailand-based power-generating company operating both thermal power and renewable power businesses across the Asia-Pacific region, including Thailand, Lao PDR, China, Japan, Vietnam, Indonesia, Australia and the United States. The Company operates through two segments: Energy Generation and Energy Technology. The Energy Generation segment is engaged in electricity generation, which consists of thermal and renewable energy both domestic and overseas. The Energy Technology segment consists of solar rooftop, electric vehicle, energy storage, and energy management systems. The Company has approximately 42 power plants and projects. The Company has approximately 3161 million watts of electric capacity (MWe) power generation capacity from operational power plants. Its subsidiaries include Banpu Coal Power Ltd., Banpu Power US Corporation, Banpu Power International Limited, and Banpu Power (Japan) Co., Ltd., among others.
