Bharat Forge Limited reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended September 30, 2023. For the second quarter, the company reported sales was INR 37,741.87 million compared to INR 30,763.85 million a year ago. Revenue was INR 38,266.72 million compared to INR 31,222.72 million a year ago. Net income was INR 2,272.25 million compared to INR 1,459.15 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 4.88 compared to INR 3.13 a year ago.
For the six months, sales was INR 76,514.56 million compared to INR 59,278.49 million a year ago. Revenue was INR 77,680.97 million compared to INR 60,063.15 million a year ago. Net income was INR 4,506.29 million compared to INR 3,103.66 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 9.68 compared to INR 6.66 a year ago.
Bharat Forge Limited is an India-based global provider of safety and critical components and solutions to various sectors including automotive, railways, defense, construction and mining, aerospace, marine, and oil and gas. The Company's segments include Forgings and Others. The Company is engaged in the manufacturing, assembling and selling of forged and machined components, including aluminum castings for the auto and industrial sector. It is also engaged in the manufacturing and assembly of electric vehicle related components. Its automotive products include engine, such as crankshaft, connecting rod, emission/after treatment and fuel injection system; chassis, such as front axle beams, steering knuckles, knuckle, fork and reinforcement bracket, and transmission and driveline, such as transmission components and driveline components. The Company's power products include thermal, such as shafts and gear boxes; hydro, such as rotor and others, and wind, such as shafts and gear boxes.
