Statement on the Press Concession Tender
bpost deeply regrets the conduct of the tender for the award of the press concession for the period 2024-2028.

bpost submitted a final bid in September. The company, as a candidate for the contract, did not receive any official reaction, questions or information from the Belgian government on the call for tenders after submitting its bid. The main factors on which bpost based its offer are as follows:
A realistic price, taking into account the fact that bpost has a national network of employees with permanent contracts, who are paid properly and have career prospects within the organization.
High-quality service throughout the country, in both cities and rural areas. bpost has years of experience in the distribution of newspapers and magazines and is widely recognized as a reliable operator.
The repeated leaks to the press, which now contain details of the bids and prices of various candidates, including bpost, are regrettable. bpost wonders about the impact that these repeated leaks to the press will have on the subsequent progress of the tender process.
