FOSHAN, China (AP) _ Bright Scholar Education Holdings Ltd. (BEDU) on Tuesday reported a loss of $15.5 million in its fiscal fourth quarter.

The Foshan, China-based company said it had a loss of 52 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for asset impairment costs and amortization costs, were 48 cents per share.

The provider of international education to Chinese students posted revenue of $58.6 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported that its loss widened to $24 million, or 80 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $248.9 million.

In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, the company's shares hit $2.73. A year ago, they were trading at $7.84.
