Broadmedia Corporation (JASDAQ:4347) announces a share repurchase program. Under the program, the company will repurchase 1,600,000 shares, representing 2.05% of its share capital, for ¥200 million. The company will repurchase its shares as part of its shareholder returns, and to enable the implementation of a flexible capital policy in response to changes in the business environment, and to enhance shareholder returns. The program will run until November 30, 2020. As of September 30, 2020, the company had 77,989,896 shares outstanding (excluding treasury shares) and 1,157,427 shares in treasury.
Broadmedia Corporation is a multimedia distribution company. The Company operates in five business segments. The Content segment involves in the provision of cloud game services, distribution of video for multi-devices, content distribution for mobile, and operation of wide area correspondence high school. The Broadcasting segment involves in the production of fishing special programs, and the supply of programs for broadcast satellite (BS) broadcasting and communication satellite (CS) broadcasting and cable television station. The Studio segment involves in the subtitle production, program sales and movie distribution businesses. The Technology segment provides contents delivery network (CDN) services, digital cinema services and Internet service to hotel rooms. The Network Sales segment involves in the sale of Internet service provider (ISP) services and broadband lines, and the provision of cell phone services.
