BANDAI NAMCO Holdings Inc. (TSE:7832) agreed to acquire remaining 63.9% stake in Anime Consortium Japan Inc. from 14 sellers for ¥2.1 billion on March 16, 2017. BANDAI NAMCO Holdings Inc. will acquire 0.3 million shares and will increase the stake to 100% from 36.1%. Under the terms, Cool Japan Fund, Inc. will sell 20.6%, Asatsu-DK Inc. (TSE:9747) will sell 19.4% and Aniplex Inc. will sell 10.3% stake. For the year ended March 31, 2016, Anime Consortium Japan Inc. reported total assets of ¥3.9 billion, revenues of ¥233 million, operating loss of ¥1 billion, net loss of ¥1.1 billion and net assets of ¥3.6 billion. The transaction is expected to close in March 31, 2017.
