Cal-Maine Foods, Inc. (NasdaqGS:CALM) signed a definitive agreement to purchase the remaining 50% membership interest in Red River Valley Egg Farm, LLC from Rose Acre Farms, Inc for $48.5 million on May 12, 2021. Red River Valley Egg Farm will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Cal-Maine Foods. Red River Valley's management team will remain in place and be integrated into Cal-Maine's operation. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to close by the end of the month.

Its integrated operations consist of hatching chicks, growing and maintaining flocks of pullets, layers and breeders, manufacturing feed, and producing, processing, packaging, and distributing shell eggs.
