Carr joined Cardinal as President, Cardinal Bank/ Washington in November, 2005, after serving as the President and CEO of The Abigail Adams National Bank and director of The Abigail Adams National Bancorp. She served as a director on the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond's Board of Directors from 2005 through December 31, 2007. Carr has been active throughout her career in civic and community organizations; most recently she was elected to serve as Chair of the Board of Directors for the Council for Court Excellence.
