CCR REBAT now covers the proportional costs of obligatory consumer education for its associated manufacturers

Through a partnership established between the Stiftung GRS (Gemeinsames Rücknahmesystem) and CCR REBAT, CCR REBAT customers are now automatically and also financially relieved from one of its information obligations. CCR REBAT covers the cost share of its associated manufacturers for the information campaigns run by GRS according to BattG §18.

The reason for this is that the manufacturers' duty to educate consumers about the importance of recycling and the impact of batteries on humans and humans' health is considered to be fulfilled as soon as manufacturers participate financially in the GRS information campaigns.

Condition for the joint financing of GRS education campaigns remains to be the competition-neutral character of the campaigns and their goal to generally increase the battery-return ratio.
