Celsius Resources Ltd - copper-gold exploration and development company in the Philippines, Namibia and Australia - Says Philippine subsidiary Makilala Mining Co Inc has received an environmental compliance certificate for the development of its flagship Maalinao-Caigutan-Biyog project. MCB is located in the Cordillera region, 320 kilometres north of Manila. The certificate signifies that MMCI has completed an environmental impact assessment and is committed to implementing a government-approved plan to mitigate MCB's environmental, cultural and social impacts. MMCI now can work towards a mineral production sharing agreement with the Philippine government, allowing the development and operation of MCB.

Executive Chair Julito Sarmiento says: "The grant of the ECC is the most significant milestone for MMCI in our quest to showcase the MCB project in line with the strong policy under the administration of President Ferdinand R Marcos, Junior for a more sustainable, inclusive, and transformative mining industry in the Philippines. Environmental protection has always been one of the primary considerations in the MCB project's mine design."
