CEMENTOS ARGOS S.A. Today, Cementos Argos S.A. reports that the company submitted its arguments in response to the "Informe Motivado" report issued on October 12th, 2017 where the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce of Colombia recommended sanctions towards the company due to antitrust practices.
In a complex and extensive document of more than 200 pages, Argos presented all of its arguments and explanations in regards to each of the charges proving that Argos has not been involved in any antitrust practices. As part of our response, Argos requested an interview with the Superintendent and Competition Advisory Counsel in order to communicate the case and arguments.
We feel confident about the strength of Colombian institutions and believe that the final decision will be in Argos´ favor. We are expecting the decision to be issued by the end of this year. We appreciate the support given by hundreds of customers, suppliers, communities, employees and all our stakeholders who have been optimistic and provided great encouragement in order to continue building the dreams of Colombians and be confident of the good behavior that has characterized Cementos Argos throughout its history.
