Centene Corporation announced that Cynthia J. Brinkley, currently Executive Vice President of Global Corporate Development, has been appointed President and Chief Operating Officer. Ms. Brinkley joined Centene in 2014 as Executive Vice President of International Operations and Business Integration and was directly responsible for the successful integration of Health Net. Most recently, Ms. Brinkley oversaw the company's corporate development, specialized and international markets, and government relations. Jesse N. Hunter, Executive Vice President of Products, has been appointed Executive Vice President of Mergers & Acquisitions and Chief Strategy Officer. Mr. Hunter joined Centene in 2002, and has held multiple positions of increasing responsibility in healthcare finance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate development and operations. Mark J. Brooks has been appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer. Mr. Brooks joined Centene in 2016 as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, with responsibilities for development and implementation of all information technology and systems for Centene. Kevin J. Counihan has been appointed Senior Vice President of Products. Prior to joining Centene, Mr. Counihan was the CEO of healthcare.gov and oversaw the state and Federal insurance exchanges in President Obama's administration. Ms. Brinkley, Mr. Hunter and Mr. Brooks will continue to report to Mr. Neidorff., Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Counihan will report to Ms. Brinkley.
