Central Asia Metals Plc confirmed that, Nigel Hurst-Brown has now stepped down to the role of Deputy Chairman and Nick Clarke has assumed the role of Executive Chairman. Howard Nicholson has now retired from the Board but will remain as an employee of the company. Gavin Ferrar has been appointed as an Executive Director of the company with immediate effect. Mr. Ferrar has been involved in the mining sector for 21 years. His career in industry began at Anglo American plc in the New Mining Business Division. He spent 10 years in the investment banking sector covering a range of equity and debt financings for junior and major mining clients of Barclays Capital and Investec plc. Since 2011, Ferrar worked with junior mining companies arranging finance and providing corporate advisory services before joining the company full-time in June 2014 as Business Development Director. Ferrar is also a Non-Executive Director of Copper Bay Limited, which is 75% owned by CAML.
