Cherkizovo Group, Russia's largest meat producer, announces the publication of its 2022 sustainability report. It is the Group's first sustainability report, and we plan to publish a report for 2023 before the end of this year.

On March 4, Cherkizovo Group's Board of Directors approved its first ever sustainability report, which covers the Company's key corporate governance, environmental and social indicators, including engagement with employees and local communities. The document also outlines core areas of the Company's development in terms of sustainable operational practices. It was prepared in line with international and Russian guidelines on non-financial disclosure, including recommendations of the Bank of Russia, Moscow Exchange, and the Russian Ministry of Economic Development.

In the report, Cherkizovo Group identified UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that it has a direct or indirect impact on. We are committed to contributing to their attainment as a cornerstone of our ESG strategy. Cherkizovo chose four SDGs: zero hunger, good health and well-being, decent work and economic growth, responsible consumption and production.

«The publication of the sustainability report is an important milestone for the Company on its journey to building a system of regular and transparent public reporting. In the document, we aimed to cover all aspects of Cherkizovo's operations, including major projects and ESG achievements. We plan to continue fostering our sustainability system in order to maintain the highest standards of quality and be ready to respond to any external and internal risks,» said Anastasia Mikhailova, Head of Communications at Cherkizovo Group.
