Chicony Electronics Co., Ltd. (TSEC:2385) acquired an additional 1.85% stake in Chicony Power Technology Co., Ltd. (TSEC:6412) for approximately TWD 390 million on March 13, 2020. Under the terms of the acquisition, Chicony Electronics will acquire 7 million shares in Chicony Power for TWD 55.46 per share. Upon completion. Chicony Electronics will now hold 50.06% in Chicony Power.

Chicony Power Technology Co Ltd is a Taiwan-based company mainly engaged in the research, development, manufacture and sale of power supplies, electronic components and consumer electronic products. The main products include power supplies for desktop personal computers, power supplies for game consoles, power supplies for laptops, power supplies for set top boxes, cloud server power systems, light-emitting diode (LED) automotive lighting products and drive power modules, laser printer power supplies, inkjet printer power supplies, Internet of Things (IoT) power supplies and battery charging devices, as well as intelligent building systems, environmental control integrated systems, energy management systems and image recognition systems.
