China Everbright Water Limited ("Everbright Water" or the "Company") announced that the consortium (the "Consortium") formed by the subsidiaries of Everbright Water and an external party has secured Guangdong Nanxiong Livestock and Poultry Manure Resource Utilisation Project ("Nanxiong Project" or the "Project"), which has an estimated investment of approximately RMB 50 million. It is Everbright Water's first environmental protection project in Guangdong Province. Furthermore, it marks the Company's entry in the field of livestock and poultry manure resource utilisation, thereby expanding its water environment management business to the areas of non-point source pollution control and rural environmental management.

By providing treatment services to the entire Nanxiong City, Nanxiong Project adopts a resource utilisation approach and a centralised agricultural waste treatment centre model, which enable livestock and poultry manure to be treated into organic fertilisers. Such services will not only meet the local demand for livestock and poultry manure treatment but also fulfill the needs of various crops for organic fertilisers. On one hand, Nanxiong Project can reduce and address the problem of non-point source pollution in local areas by preventing the runoff of livestock and poultry manure into local rivers and lakes.

On the other hand, through the sale of high-quality organic fertilisers, the Project can contribute to improving local resource utilisation levels and enhancing the Project's profitability concurrently. Nanxiong Project involves the construction of a biogas power generation facility that treats livestock and poultry manure, and an organic fertiliser production line with an annual capacity of 30,000 tonnes. Additionally, a waste collection, storage, and transportation system for livestock, poultry manure, and other agricultural waste will be implemented.

The project company, in which the Company will ultimately hold 60% equity interest, will be responsible for the investment, construction, operation, and maintenance of the Project.
