CHINA SHENHUA ENERGY COMPANY LIMITED In November 2022, the 5th China Enterprise Forum, held under the guidance of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC), the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), the Shandong Provincial People's Government and Xinhua News Agency, released the 2022 Central SOEs ESG Pioneer 50 Indexes. China Shenhua was included in all of the four indexes, namely the Pioneer 50, Governance Pioneer 50, Social Value Pioneer 50, and Risk Management Pioneer 50. Besides, its "Focusing on ESG Ecosystem Construction and Empowering Corporate Sustainable Development" was cited as an ESG excellent case.
The Central SOEs ESG Pioneer 50 Indexes focus on evaluating 426 listed companies controlled by centrally administered state-owned enterprises (SOEs) in terms of ESG, social and environmental value creation, and risk management. Based on their performances in the aforesaid three dimensions, each selects the top 50 enterprises.
