(Alliance News) - Civitanavi Systems Spa announced Thursday that it has launched with Honeywell a new inertial measurement system for the international market in the industrial and defense sectors.

The new HG2800s, the company explains in a note, "are tactical-grade, low-noise, high-performance, low-power inertial measurement systems designed for precision applications in short-term stabilization and navigation solutions in industry and military aircraft among other applications."

The inertial measurement systems, the company explains, have been developed to meet the needs of a wide range of guidance and control applications. They meet the needs of customers who require high bandwidth, low data latency and low noise.

They also enable quiet operation for acoustically sensitive systems. The technology addresses needs typically associated with surveillance, precision applications, and imaging. Applications include unmanned vehicle detection, radar antenna stabilization, autonomous underwater vessels, and sensitive camera systems requiring both visible and infrared sensors.

Civitanavi Systems' stock is in the green by 1.3 percent at EUR3.85 per share.
