ZURICH, May 17 (Reuters) - Clariant expects no change in its relationship with its largest shareholder Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), the Swiss chemicals company said on Tuesday.

"We have no indication that SABIC will change anything in our relationship with them," spokesman Jochen Dubiel said. "We have a satisfactory relationship with them."

Clariant earlier on Tuesday that its 'governance agreement' with SABIC was due to expire next month, stirring speculation the Saudi company could launch a full takeover bid. (Reporting by John Revill, Editing by Louise Heavens)
