FINDLAY, Ohio (AP) _ Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. (CTB) on Monday reported first-quarter net income of $22.1 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.

On a per-share basis, the Findlay, Ohio-based company said it had profit of 43 cents.

The tire maker posted revenue of $655.8 million in the period.

Cooper Tire shares have increased 41% since the beginning of the year. The stock has more than doubled in the last 12 months.
