Coromandel International Limited reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2021. For the third quarter, the company reported sales was INR 50,736 million compared to INR 35,330.1 million a year ago. Revenue was INR 50,995 million compared to INR 35,418.7 million a year ago. Net income was INR 3,815.8 million compared to INR 3,338 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 13 compared to INR 11.39 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 12.98 compared to INR 11.35 a year ago.
For the nine months, sales was INR 148,850 million compared to INR 113,575.1 million a year ago. Revenue was INR 149,515.2 million compared to INR 113,852.9 million a year ago. Net income was INR 12,386.7 million compared to INR 11,733 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 42.22 compared to INR 40.03 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 42.12 compared to INR 39.92 a year ago.
Coromandel International Limited is engaged in the manufacturing and trading of farm inputs consisting of fertilizers, crop protection, specialty nutrients and organic compost. The Company's segments include Nutrient and other allied businesses, and Crop Protection. Its products and services include fertilizer, crop protection, specialty nutrients and organic. The Companyâs fertilizers consist of nitrogen, phosphate, calcium and potassium in various grades and are available under various brands, such as GroShakti Plus, Grosmart, Paramfos, Gromor 15-15-15-09, Godavari Ultra DAP, Gromor / Godavari DAP, Gromor MOP and Gromor Urea. Its crop protection products consist of insecticides, fungicides, herbicides, plant growth regulators and bio-products. It offers organic fertilizers derived from natural sources like city waste (organic portion only), sugarcane molasses and its by-products, oil cakes and gypsum. The Company operates a network of over 750 rural retail outlets across India.
