Countryside, the UK's leading mixed-tenure developer, has opened the doors to its first office in Bristol reflecting its wider growth ambitions in the South West.

Following a fit out, the 8500 sq ft office in Emersons Green, Bristol, will be home to an emerging team that will be focusing on growing the regional partnerships-modelled business. The team will work on a variety of land opportunities, including public sector owned, and greenfield and brownfield land, in partnership with landowners, local authorities and housing associations to develop private, affordable and PRS homes of varying sizes and types.

Countryside, proffering over 60 years' experience in creating sensitive and sustainable communities, has already acquired the Sulis Down scheme on the southern edge of the City of Bath, marking its first site purchase in the South West. It will be delivering 171 homes on the 16.4-acre site, of which 40% will be affordable.

Darren Dancey, Managing Director, Partnerships South West, commented:

'I am proud to be leading such a dynamic team in the South West and the office opening is another milestone in the journey. As a Partnerships business, the value we bring to the communities we create is vast. As we continue to make further acquisitions, we hope to further our partnerships with housing associations and local authorities in the region to bring to life best-in-class sustainable developments that result in thriving places people want to live and work.'
