Credit Suisse has named Rafael Lopez Lorenzo as its chief compliance officer in the latest round of internal reorganisation. Lorenzo, the current global head of group internal audit, will take over the new responsibility on 1 October from Thomas Grotzer, who assumed the role on an ad interim basis since April. With a background in audit and banking, Lorenzo joined Credit Suisse in 2015 from JP Morgan Chase. He played a pivotal role in the review of recent incidents. Concurrently, Credit Suisse has also appointed Christine Graeff as the new global head of human resources. Graeff will succeed Antoinette Poschung, who is scheduled to retire by the end of January 2022. Since the beginning of this year, she was working as the global head of communications and deputy global head of human resources. Previously, Graeff was with European Central Bank. Both, Lorenzo and Graeff will directly report to the group CEO Thomas Gottstein.
