ISA CTEEP launches open innovation challenges for startups
In partnership with 100 Open Startups, the Company looks for companies that bring solutions to four innovation challenges

São Paulo, April 15, 2021- ISA CTEEP, the largest private electric energy transmission company in the country, in partnership with 100 Open Startups, a leading open innovation platform in Brazil, is looking for startups with solutions focused on sustainability, construction management, infrastructure and construction for energy and excellence in maintenance. The objective is to promote innovation in a collaborative way, fostering the exchange of experiences between the company and startups, through open innovation partnerships. Registration is open until April 16.

With four challenges, the company hopes to find partners with innovative ideas and to promote continuous interaction between employees and the innovation ecosystem, aiming at generating shared value for the company, the electricity sector and partner startups.

The solutions must address the following themes: monitoring and management of gases; reduction in downtime for maintenance and assets replacement; maintenance management in protection systems; and management of works, infrastructure and construction for energy.

'ISA CTEEP believes in innovation as an important lever in the continuous search for operational excellence and in the execution of the sustainable growth strategy. Open innovation initiatives accelerate our ability to incorporate innovative solutions, with a greater diversity of ideas, and enable a very rich exchange of experiences, in which our employees are encouraged to be innovative and our partners have the possibility to validate their value propositions with a reference operator in the electric sector', analyzes Silvia Wada, executive director of Strategy and Business Development at ISA CTEEP.

In the first selection stage, the applying startups will be evaluated based on the information they enter at the time of registration, using 100 Open Startups online matchmaking platform, available on the website: https://www.openstartups.net/events/isacteep/#.

After this process, the solutions that stand out will be invited to make a presentation to a panel composed of specialists and executives. The goal is to have around five partners per challenge, who will be directed to the last stage of ISA's global program, a group to which ISA CTEEP belongs, in which they will compete with startups from all over Latin America for the selection of the most innovative solutions.

'The challenges are an opportunity for large corporations and startups to promote open innovation, seeking solutions to real market problems, as well as helping to co-create more consistent projects and collaborating with networking between startups and corporations', comments Bruno Rondani, CEO and founder of 100 Open Startups.
