DFDS A/S (CPSE:DFDS) commences share repurchases on February 12, 2024, under the program mandated by the shareholders in the Annual General Meeting held on March 22, 2023. As per the mandate, the company is authorized to repurchase up to 5,860,000 shares, for a nominal value of DKK 117.2 million, in such a way in a manner such that the company?s holding in treasury does not exceed 10% of its issued share capital. The purchase price of the shares cannot deviate by more than 10% from the listed acquisition price on Nasdaq Copenhagen at the time of acquisition. The program will expire on March 22, 2027. As of February 24, 2023, the company had 58,631,578 issued shares and outstanding shares.
On February 9, 2024, the company announced a share repurchase program. Under the program, the company will repurchase up to 3,400,000 shares, for DKK 431 million. The purpose of the program is to adjust the capital structure of the company, ultimately through cancellation of repurchased shares, and to meet obligations under the company?s share-based incentive schemes. The program will run from from February 12, 2024 to December 31, 2024.
