Sunday, December 23 , 2012 Dar Al Sharia named 'Best Sharia Advisory Firm' for second consecutive year at the Mediterranean Awards

Dar Al Sharia Legal & Financial Consultancy (DAS), Dubai Islamic Bank's (DIB) Sharia consultancy and advisory subsidiary, announced today that it has been named the "Best Sharia Advisory Firm" for the second consecutive year at the Mediterranean Awards for Global Excellence in Islamic Finance. The award was presented to Sohail Zubairi, CEO of Dar Al Sharia, in Valetta, Malta, by Reuben Buttigieg, President of the Malta Institute of Management, which judges and grants the annual awards.

Established in 2008, under the leadership of Dr. Hussain Hamed Hassan, Dar Al Sharia has risen to become the leading Sharia advisory firm in the world. The company received its latest accolade in recognition of its track record of advising on some of the most successful Sukuk and other transactions in the Islamic finance sector during the year 2012.
