Restructuring Measures at Dyckerhoff Headquarters

Wiesbaden, March 19, 2014 - Following the squeeze-out and the delisting of the Dyckerhoff shares at the stock exchange, the parent company Buzzi Unicem SpA strives for a deeper integration of Dyckerhoff. This fact and the restructuring measures arising from it result in a reduction of 48 jobs at the Wiesbaden headquarters.

"Fortunately, we were able to achieve our objective to conduct the measures in a socially acceptable manner", Dirk Beese, chief representative of Dyckerhoff AG, reports. "We made mutual agreements with more than half of the 48 employees affected by the measures. In addition, we took advantage of natural fluctuation of employees."

"After completion of the measures, over 300 employees will still be working at the Dyckerhoff headquarters. For them, further dismissals for operational reasons are ruled out until the end of May 2015. We are very pleased, that we were able to agree this with the management", Heinz Engelhardt, Chairman of the Works Council at the Dyckerhoff headquarters, adds.
