E-Ton Solar Technology announces a new product line of 6"Mono PERC cell with 20.2 %conversion efficiency.

Tainan, Taiwan, January, 2015 - E-Ton Solar Technology Inc., a solar cell manufacturing company, today announces a 3rd generation solar cell product line based on its newly developed " E xcelT onTM -Cell-III" technology. 6"Mono E xcelT onTM-Cell-III adopts the 2nd generation PID-free technology ( E xcelT onTM-Cell-II) with a rear-side passivation technology (Passivated Emitter and Rear Cell, PERC), so that cell open circuit voltage (Voc) and cell short circuit current (Isc) can be all enhanced. As a result, its average conversion efficiency for the 6"Mono cell can reach 20.2% level (with the best efficiency of 20.6%) in mass production. E xcelT onTM-Cell-III with efficiency of 20.0% has also been proven to be applicable in the solar module (6X10) with peak output power > 280 Watts. This product mainly targets at the application of high-power-output module with 275-285 Watts. Another notable feature of this product is that there is no need of additional capital investment for rear-side deposition equipment. The existing production tools can be used for rear-side deposition and it is easy to upgrade the existing conventional solar cell production lines to PERC solar cell lines. The company is now planning to expand the capacity of this high-efficiency PERC cell from 60 MW to 120 MW by the end of 2015.
