After the great success of the construction of Danone's headquarters in Rueil Malmaison delivered in October 2020, the large French group had reaffirmed its confidence in us by awarding Eiffage Construction Tertiaire the realization of the IN'CUBE building, its future research & development center in Gif-sur-Yvette on the Saclay plateau. This fall, our Eiffage Construction Bois teams are laying the last wood elements of this remarkable operation, with exemplary environmental ambitions.

The work is in full swing! Started just a year ago, they will end next fall so that Danone Research can accommodate its 600 employees.

Of exceptional scale, this operation of more than 21,000 m-2 of floor area will be carried out in R + 4, with 2 levels of superstructure executed in wooden structure, whose installation is currently completed. In total, 8,300m-2 of wood floor and nearly 600 m3 of glulam wood constituting the load-bearing posts are inserted into the project. French, the wood used (spruce) is produced and shaped in the Vosges, then delivered directly to the site.

In addition to these wood elements, the addition of photovoltaic panels allows the project to aim for the HQE Sustainable Building 2016 Excellent level, BREEAM NC 2016 Excellent level, BBCA V3, Osmoz (1 lever) and Ready2Services (1 star) certifications. Thus, it is part of the ambitious environmental approach of the Eiffage group.

Comprising offices and laboratories, ARTE CHARPENTIER ARCHITECTES designed the operation, and our subsidiary Goyer who will carry out the facade.
