He did it! Pierre Loir, BIM Manager at Eiffage Construction in the South-East, has just won the title of French BIM Champion at the WorldSkills 2022 competition.

Supported by Mickael Garabedian, Regional BIM Group Leader also within our teams, he will represent France at the next stage: Shanghai.

Aged 25, Pierre has honoured his country, his region - PACA - and his company!

The project on which the 5 pre-selected regional candidates were to compete for the victory was to carry out a partial modeling of a regional headquarters of the FFB, including the modules BIM Configuration, ModelIng and Collaboration, Model Coordination, Documentation and File Export, Scheduling and Quantities. The tools to use were Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Navisworks Manage, Autodesk Construction Cloud.

Organised by the Comite Francais des Olympiades des Metiers (COFOM), the national finals took place from 11 to 16 January at Eurexpo Lyon. They attracted the interest of more than 50,000 visitors, including Jean Castex and Elisabeth Borne. The medal was presented by Jacques Chanut, President of SMA BTP.

Barely recovered from his emotions, it is now the preparation of the next stage that begins with Jonathan Pires of the FFB: in Shanghai, he will face about twenty other candidates from all over the world, which does not seem to scare him.

'So my goal now is to make the best possible result in Shanghai while carrying out my missions in the Southeast region. You can count on my strong investment to accomplish these breathless goals. '

Congratulations again Pierre for this great reward, and see you mid-October 2022 to know the result!
