Bagnolo in Piano (RE) 31 January 2013 - Emak announces that it has closed the financial year 2012 with a turnover of € 355 million, in line with the pro-forma figure for 2011.

Group sales have performed well on the North American market, where the Group has significantly increased its presence through the acquisition of Valley Industries LLP, while were negatively affected by the economic crisis that has affected the European market and some markets in the rest world. Sales of products in the Gardening were penalized by the macro-economic scenario and adverse weather conditions, while the lines Construction & Industry and Agriculture & Forestry have benefited from the inclusion in the scope of consolidation of Valley Industries LLP and Ptc Ltd.

Outlook 2013

For the year 2013 the Group expects an increase in turnover of 3-5%. The drivers of growth are primarily the consolidation of sales of products launched during the past year and the introduction of important new models across all its product families, the consolidation of a subsidiary in Brazil.
The Group has also implemented measures to improve the competitive position and the reduction of operating costs. The Group expects an improvement in cash generation through the increase of cash flow  from operations and the reduction of net working capital.

The Board of Directors of Emak S.p.A. resolved to adopt the "opt out" regime envisaged by Articles 70, paragraph 8, and 71, paragraph 1-bis of the Issuer Regulations, using therefore the possibility of derogating from obligations to publish information documents prescribed for significant transactions of merger, de merger,  capital increase by contribution in kind, acquisitions and disposals.
