Zain Group joins Etisalat UAE SmartHub to accelerate global internet offering

The agreement will result in Etisalat's Smarthub deployment providing the Zain Group of companies faster access to leading internet content and capacity services.

Etisalat UAE, one of the leading telecom operators in the Middle East and Africa today announced the signing of an agreement with Zain Group a leading telecommunications group with commercial presence in 8 countries across the Middle East and North Africa to deploy in Etisalat's Smarthub.

The agreement will result in Etisalat's Smarthub deployment providing the Zain Group of companies faster access to leading internet content and capacity services. Smarthub IX and SmartHub IPX will also be available to the Zain Group throughout the region through the same connection.

Speaking at this occasion Ali Amiri, Executive Vice President of Carrier & Wholesale Services, Etisalat UAE, said, "The Zain Group is an important partner for Etisalat and this marks a milestone in the regional expansion of the SmartHub.
