Emperor Watch & Jewellery Ltd. announced audited consolidated earnings results for the year ended December 31, 2015. For the year, the company reported revenue was HKD 4,430,846,000 compared to HKD 5,924,947,000 for the same period a year ago. Loss before taxation was HKD 116,609,000 compared to profit before taxation of HKD 168,690,000 for the same period a year ago.

Loss for the year was HKD 120,082,000 compared to profit for the year of HKD 138,142,000 for the same period a year ago. Loss per share – basic was 1.7 cents compared to earnings per share – basic of 2.0 cents for the same period a year ago. Net cash generated from operations was HKD 438,069,000 compared to net cash used in operations of HKD 12,893,000 for the same period a year ago.

Purchase of property, plant and equipment was HKD 34,945,000 compared to HKD 77,997,000 for the same period a year ago. Revenue decreased primarily due to weak consumption sentiment in Hong Kong resulting from a strong local currency and an unfavorable tourism environment.
