KALiNA Power has awarded an engineering contract to Enerflex for the modularisation of KALiNA Cycle plants. This marks an important step in the company's strategy of deploying multiple, combined cycle power plants in Alberta using KALiNA Cycle modules, which will now be fabricated by Enerflex. The technology can also be used to generate power from renewable energy sources such as geothermal and solar thermal. Enerflex's engagement involves a conditional, staged process to deliver cost-effective, modularisation of KALiNA Cycle plants. The first phase has commenced with engineering and cost estimating of modularisation underway. This contract will address the current opportunities in Alberta and the province's focus on revoking legislations surrounding the reliance on coal for energy.
