ENTREPOSE Contracting (Paris:ENTC) (ISIN FR0010204321), a contractor specialised in the design and construction of complex projects in the oil and gas sectors in particular, and the energy and environmental sectors in general, today announces the signature of a contract to construct three cryogenic tanks for the Dunkirk LNG Terminal.

The contract, won in a consortium between lead contractor ENTREPOSE Contracting and Bouygues Travaux Publics, was signed with EDF's subsidiary, Dunkerque LNG. It will involve the construction of three cryogenic tanks for the storage of liquefied natural gas (LNG), each with a capacity of 190,000m3. Each of the three tanks, which are among the biggest built in the world, are of full-containment type and will be constructed with an inner tank of 9% nickel-alloy steel, complete with perlite insulation to keep the LNG at a temperature of -163°C, and a prestressed-concrete outer wall.

This turnkey contract, which will be subject to the strictest environmental and safety constraints in the oil and gas industry, will cover engineering, equipment supply, construction and pre-commissioning trials on the tanks.

The work is due to start at the beginning of 2012 at the latest, following completion of the current preliminary engineering work. Commissioning of the tanks is expected in 2015.

Dominique Bouvier, ENTREPOSE Contracting's Chairman and CEO, commented: "We are pleased with this fine result and delighted to participate in this major project with Dunkerque LNG (EDF group). Our subsidiary CMP Dunkerque will obviously make a strong contribution to the project. The award of this contract confirms ENTREPOSE Contracting's position as a global leader in turnkey projects involving LNG storage tanks."
