Evolution Gaming AB said Monday that its takeover bid for NetEnt AB has now received all necessary competition approvals after the U.K. Competition and Markets Authority decided not to refer the planned acquisition to a further investigation.

Evolution Gaming, a Swedish company that provides technology behind online casinos, launched a takeover offer for NetEnt in June in a deal valuing the games developer at 19.6 billion Swedish kronor ($2.25 billion).

Evolution said last month it had received approval from the Malta Competition and Consumer Affairs Authority and with the U.K. regulator's consent it has now received all necessary competition approvals for the deal.

Assuming the offer is declared unconditional no later than around Nov. 23, settlement is expected to commence around Dec. 1, it said.
