Ferrovial S A : Yiğit Laçin appointed CEO of Dalaman International Airport

The Board of Directors of Dalaman International Airport has appointed Yiğit Laçin as Chief Executive Officer. The new CEO has over 15 years' experience in the aviation industry. Laçin has spent most of his career at TAV Airports, a Turkish airport operation and services company that is part of Groupe ADP. Most recently he was general manager of Gazipaşa-Alanya International Airport, in the province of Antalya. He previously held positions of responsibility at other airports such as Monastir Habib Bourguiba International Airport in Tunisia and Skopje International Airport in North Macedonia. A graduate in Economics, Yiğit Laçin has also been accredited as an International Aviation Professional by the International Civil Aviation Organization and Airports Council International.

Dalaman Airport is located on the Turkish Riviera, one of the most attractive tourist areas in Turkey and the Mediterranean, with numerous cultural, sports and leisure facilities. It handled five million passengers in 2019, most of them international. That represents an increase of 78% with respect to 2006 and ranks Dalaman as Turkey's fourth-largest airport in terms of international passenger numbers.

The airport has two terminals with capacity for over 20 million passengers per year, an apron for over 50 aircraft, and parking space for cars and tour buses. It also has ancillary facilities such as a water treatment plant. It also plans to build a renewable power plant, which will make it one of the most sustainable and environmentally friendly projects in Turkey.
