1. Compared consolidated sales in December and November 2021:
The consolidated sales of NTD 25.19bn in December 2021, which reached the
monthly historical high, increased by NTD 0.67bn and was up 2.8% from
November 2021 mainly due to the increased sales spread of volume. The
reasons were as follows:
The sales volume of PVC, caustic soda, AN and PP in December 2021 increased
50,000 MT from November 2021, because the port of congestion about near-sea
shipping line led to the part of PVC, caustic soda, AN and PP orders in
November delivery postponed to December.
2. Compared consolidated sales in December 2021 and December 2020:
The consolidated sales of NTD 25.19bn in December 2021 increased by
NTD 5.48bn and was up 27.9% from December 2020 mainly due to the
increased sales spread of price. The reasons were as follows:
The price of each products in December 2021 was up 18~117% from December
2020, given the price of petrochemical products increased due to (1) the
energy and commodities sharply raised as the global economic recovery in
2021, and (2) the declined production or shutdown from peers in China was
affected by energy policy.
