Tom Petro, Fox Chase Bank President & CEO, Elected Vice Chairman Of The American Bankers Association Government Relations Council


(Hatboro, PA) - November 12, 2015 - The American Bankers Association (ABA) has elected Tom Petro, Fox Chase Bank President & CEO, to be Vice Chairman of the ABA Government Relations Council and a member of the ABA Board of Directors.


The announcement was made at the 2015 ABA Annual Convention held in Los Angeles November 8th - 10th. 'Tradition of Innovation' was this year's theme - highlighting the ABA's tradition of innovation that has ignited some of the biggest and brightest moments in banking.


Mr. Petro is a 2014 and 2015 Smart CEO Future 50 Award Winner and a finalist for the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2015 Award in Greater Philadelphia. He frequently shares insights to help businesses achieve growth and success.


The ABA Government Relations Council represents a broad cross-section of the banking industry by size, geography and charter type. The Council develops recommendations on positions and priorities regarding legislative and regulatory issues. Council members are active advocates for the policy positions of the ABA with members of the legislative and executive branches and related agencies, local media, and fellow bankers.
